I am reading "Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers", it relates to the cultural roots and identity because it talks about a Japanese-American and haole culture. A girl named Lovey is ashamed of her culture and she would rather be haole. She believes that the haole culture is more sophisticated and thinks that once she becomes haole then she could do more with her life. Like live in a big house or have nice things. Overall "Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers" talks about the cultural differences between japanese and haole. Lovey believes that haole culture will allow her to find her true identity.
